IMCO Committee voted the EU NIS directive

The Internal Market and Consumer Protection committee of the European Parliament (IMCO) adopted on 23rd January the Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive. Members also mandate the rapporteur to start the negotiations with the Council.

The proposed Directive concerns measures to ensure a high common level of network and information security across the Union.

The report will be voted in the Plenary session of the European Parliament in March.
